This is a list of questions to help you know if you are ready . . . remembering there is no right answer only your answer.

In asking these questions, you can listen for an answering response through journaling or automatic writing, drawing or painting, doodling or dancing. If there is a motto in these courses, it is that there is only one way and it is your way—or, more accurately, your soul's way. You could walk in nature in search of an answer, but it is your nature your are listening for.

On your journey your soul is your companion.

In answering this fundamental question of whether you are ready, you are cultivating your relationship with your soul to access your own inner insight, intuition and inner guidance. This is a good way and time to invite the soul in and pay attention to what they offer as an invitation. Deepen this relationship in dialogue, seeking an answer, while recognizing that there is often no simple answer but a deeper invitation to understand (to get under or to the root of something). Play with these questions. Pursue the soul like a lover. Call out and listen patiently. Sometimes the soul is better seen in a sideway glance and called in a whisper. Look and listen for your answer in wind-swept branches, in painted papers or journal entries. You can dance or hum to find your answer.

Ways to find your answer:

  • What draws you to this offering? Is your soul calling you?

  • How does this calling make you feel? (You can draw it, paint it, dance it, map it.)

  • What do you intuit? Does anything come in your dreams--whether day dreams or at night?

  • If you hold the decision to accept or answer this call in your heart and body how does it feel?

  • If you hold the decision to defer or deny this call in your heart and body how does it feel?

  • You are called now. Is this the right time? You can ask if you are ready now or if you will be later.

  • What or who do you serve or even save on this creative quest?

  • Do you feel ready to begin a more direct dialogue and relationship with your soul?

  • See what questions emerge on your own. Ask and listen through the body, the heart and the imagination.
